 Is This a Powerful Government or What?

Throughout history man has tried to rule over man. There have always been those that have seen themselves as superior to those around them. These “superior” individuals ruled over other men with their “superior” strength, intellect, spirituality, charisma, ferocity, etc. World history is overflowing with the stories of kings and tyrants who have suppressed those around them, used and exploited them, even murdered their own for power, fame, or money. Almost every nation, every race has these stories. Some rulers were benevolent in the beginning only to turn out to be monsters in the end. Looking at history it would appear the norm for most men was to submit to their “superior” and pray for a time of benevolence for them and their children; that changed in the late 1700’s.

In the 18^th century, England was the most powerful nation on Earth. It had colonies in so many parts of the world that it was said, “The sun never sets on the British Empire”. In the late 1700’s one of Britain’s colonies had had enough of being exploited. The leaders of the colony thought that men should be free to pursue their own happiness without having to give their earnings go to a tyrant who was deaf to their wants and needs (taxation without representation). The leaders of this colony thought that a government should be one of the people, by the people and for the people. They believed that all men were created equal, that they were endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, among which were life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Their concept was that man longed to be free, and that left to pursue their own ambitions could do amazing things. They understood that some sort of government was necessary to ensure that no other man could take away another’s life, liberty, or their pursuit of happiness. They knew also that they would have to pledge to each other their blood, their fortunes, and their sacred honor so that all men could live free. Over 25,000 Americans gave their lives for this idea. These men risked it all to change the history of man, and did.

The United States of America was the Great Experiment. It became a shining city on a hill that men and women from all over the world came to be free. They came so they would not be subjected to the tyrants and kings of other nations. In America they could become what they desired or at the very least have the opportunity to try. They knew that if the current leader of America turned out to be a tyrant, there were two other branches of government to put them in check and vice-versa. If they didn’t like those in power they could vote them out, unlike so many other nations. The American government was truly up to her people. Millions from around the world flocked to this new land of freedom.

Part of the genius of the American Experiment is it put the power in the hands of the people. It gave them the right to speak out against their leaders; to practice their own religion; to keep firearms and form militias; not to be forced to house soldiers; to be secure in their houses, papers, and effects; not to have to testify against oneself; to be able to have a speedy and public trail; to be able to confront one’s accuser; to have a trial by jury; not to be subject to excessive bail or cruel and unusual punishment. These rights were guaranteed to the people and could not be taken by the government. The amazing thing is, these rights were infringed upon by governments from the beginning of time and to this day are infringed upon by current governments. 

The Founder's knew that men were no angels and therefore needed some sort of government to protect them from one another, but they also knew that government was comprised of men therefore making government just as dangerous. These men decided that the government should have checks and balances to make sure it didn't take advantage of the people. The executive branch was there to make sure things ran smoothly, the Senate was there to represent the different States and their interests, the House was there to represent the people and their interests, and the Supreme Court was there to interpret the laws of the land sent down from the other branches. The one part so many of us forget is that it is the responsibility of the People to make sure all of the branches do what they were meant to do.

Our Founders spoke out against powerful government, a two party system, the dangers of not remaining vigilant to protect our Republic, of being able to vote oneself largess from the public coffers, about taking from one that which he has worked for and giving it to that which he despises,  taking earnings from one who works and giving it to others who do not, and about a government large enough to give you everything you want being able to take everything you have. It looks to me like we ignored those who gave us our liberty.

The U.S. Government is the largest employer in the World! Is this a powerful government or what? I mean really, it gives billions of dollars to other countries (even those that want to kill us), it gives millions of dollars to kill unborn children, it gives billions of dollars to companies it feels are too big to fail (not letting those too small to succeed have a dime), it tells its people what light bulbs it can and cannot use, what kind of cars it can drive, what it should and shouldn't eat, what temperature we should keep our homes at, how much energy we should use, I could probably go on for days...actually weeks... ok, I probably couldn't get through all of the regulations in this life time. I mean really, our lawmakers are creating laws so fast they can't even read the ones they're passing. It's almost to a point where if you are just breathing, you are probably doing something illegal (remember the EPA stating that CO2 was a pollutant?). Oh, and by the way, the 2nd biggest employer in the World? China.

How many of you remember the uproar about the Patriot Act from so many on the left (I actually agree on this one)? Warrantless wire taps are un-Constitutional, but so are drones flying over American cities and farms. Where's the outcry? They want gun control, but when there's an emergency they call the good guys with the guns.

It drives me nuts how the left (and the right) thinks that making laws will stop criminals, they are criminals because they don't obey the law! I don't want to make light of the tragedy in Sandy Hook or any place else, it is truly horrific and I can only imagine the pain, however, I think it bears a look.

First of all, taking someone else's firearm is against the law. Second, killing your mother is against the law. Taking a firearm into a "Gun Free Zone" is against the law. shooting innocent children is against the law. As far as in California, I know committing suicide is also against the law. After looking at all of the laws broken here, Please tell me what law our lawmakers could have made to stop it?

Speaking of California, automatic weapons (machine guns) were outlawed some time ago, and guess what? The only people who had automatic weapons were the gangs and criminals. It was so bad we had to rearm our law enforcement agencies because they were out gunned. California has some of the strictest gun laws in the Nation, yet take a look at some of our cities in this State such as Oakland, Compton, and Los Angeles. Yep, our gun laws have done wonders. I truly think our lawmakers are delusional believing they can simply outlaw something and all will be well, history surely doesn't bear that out.

I have sat down far too many times to write this newsletter and I apologize that it took so long. My reason for the delay has been the ever changing headlines. I wanted to talk about the "Fiscal Cliff", you know, the disaster our Government created prior to the election but didn't say anything and then decided it was an emergency afterward, and how they were the only ones who could fix it? Then I wanted to talk about Benghazi and how convenient it was that Hillary had time to get all her ducks in a row prior to questioning. I also wanted to talk about the "Debt Ceiling Cliff" that those that caused it will be the ones to fix it. I was going to spend a lot of time on the billions of dollars and military equipment to the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt , who is at war with us just from reading their Holy Book and their declarations. Then I was going to get involved in the gun debate, which I touched on. 

Folks, there is so much going on that it's difficult to keep up with it all. At times it seems so disconcerting.  I understand that at times this all seems so overwhelming that you may want to give up the fight, I have at times felt this way also (thanks Rodney for bringing me back around).  At times I feel we are being poked and prodded into some sort of reaction, I refuse to be controlled in that way. Our fight is tough and has gone on for quite some time now. I know many Patriots who are getting tired of it, but remember this: when asked by your children or grandchildren what you did to protect their future from those that would steal it from them you can honestly say you fought the good fight.

The Great Cultural Decay

Great nations and proud empires have always collapsed from within before they were conquered from without. President Obama’s re-election mirrors the self indulgent, greedy and envious nation we are rapidly becoming. Pollsters Michael Barone and Dick Morris got it horribly wrong. Both predicted a 300-electoral vote win for Romney. It was President Obama who reached that mark. The central message coming out of the election seems to be that we are no longer the America of our founders, or even the America that existed during World War 2, which produced our “greatest generation.” Instead, the election validates the enormous cultural shift that has been taking place since the 60’s when the counter cultural bomb was dropped on society, producing moral fallout that continues to this day. I am child of the “greatest generation.” My parents believed I should learn to take care of myself. They would have been too embarrassed to ask for help if they needed it. If they did, they would have turned to family first, or to a friend or neighbor. There were fewer social programs then, so people mostly did without, living only on what they truly needed. It said something about your character if you refused to strive toward self-sufficiency. 

In 2012, nothing appears to embarrass us; Snooki, Honey Boo Boo, Reality TV wives, etc. Look at what is paraded before us as normal. Oppose the new normal and it’s you who are abnormal. Young people are taught in public schools, at major universities, on TV and in movies, that every life choice is acceptable and every tenet open to interpretation. In politics, some proclaim it is right to oppose the successful and envy the rich to the point where they must be denigrated and penalized for their success with higher taxes. No one has to be personally responsible. No education: no motivation, no life plan? No problem. The government will take care of you. One thing Romney might have done better is to have featured more people who had overcome government dependence by embracing the values he was promoting. Example trumps philosophy and success should trump victim hood. Inspiration follows perspiration. But in our “entitlement” age even that might have been impossible to overcome.

Other signs of cultural decay are accepted with little notice. According to data from the Centers for Disease Control and prevention, 40 % of babies born in America are born to unmarried women (Shrug), abortion clinics continue to operate (Yawn). There is no longer any cultural corrective because we have abandoned the concept of objective truth. Nothing is right or wrong, because that suggests a standard by which right and wrong might be defined. Personal choice is the new “standard,” which is no standard at all. One might as well develop individual weights and measures. Politicians bid for votes, making promises they can’t keep to voters who will believe anything, as long as it appeals to greed, envy, and their sense of entitlement. This fuels our massive debt, weakening our economic power and Americas standing in the world. Standards used to be defined and mostly accepted, if not always universally practiced. Many grew out of religious principles. According to recent Pew Poll, a growing number of people, especially young people, no longer believe in God or religion. In this, an increasing flirtation with socialism. 

America is becoming more like Europe. Government seems to be replacing God as the only acceptable “deity.” So what’s the answer? Should we (conservatives) throw in the towel and say America, as passed down to us by previous generations, is no more? That was President Obama’s announced goal 4years ago when he promised to “fundamentally transform America.” He’s doing it and sufficient numbers of us appear happy to let him. When they realize what they have done, however, it may well be too late to reverse course.

Hey Folks,

Well, here we are. We held an election between two politicians and guess what...the politician won. I know there are many of you who are possibly suffering from P.E.S.D.* (post election stress disorder), but let me run a few things by you.

First off, what do you think would have happened had Governor Romney won? What would have President Obama done in these last few months to get the rest of his agenda through? Did any of you actually think Romney could have reversed the damage that has already been caused? I know, the repeal of Obama-Care would have been a great start, however there are many taxes that are scheduled to start in January. Trust me, when all the crap that is headed our way from the policies Obama enacted over the last four years hit, Romney would have been destroyed by the media and the liberal machine. I believe that the devastation that would have occurred had Romney taken the fall for what is to come would have been insurmountable and I don't think conservatives and libertarians would have been able to have any voice what-so-ever after that.

Don't get me wrong, I am upset, but I can't change what I cannot change. I could sit here and kick myself in the head and keep telling myself Rodney and I failed in educating you. I could get more upset and just give up. You know what though, I am not going to let that happen. I realize Rodney and I have basically been preaching to the choir here. Those of you who read our blog, get our newsletters, visit our website, or follow us on Facebook are like-minded. The reasons you follow us is because you believe the same things we do, basically. However, we are not alone.

Our blog is followed by people all over the World, Russia, Brazil, France, Germany, Egypt, Ukraine, Portugal, China, Canada, Slovenia, Hungary, Malaysia, Australia, Israel, and many others. I believe that the people in those countries are looking for the leadership America has always provided. No, I don't think Rodney and I are the leaders they're looking for, but the fact that such a small, relatively unknown blog like ours is receiving that type of attention speaks volumes to the human condition being experienced all over the world from people who long to be free. I want all of you to know, the mere fact that you follow us on our different sites, you are being looked to by those you don't even know. Actions, as well as elections, have consequences.

Folks, are you a summer soldier? A sunshine patriot? If you are like Rodney or I, and I believe most of you are, you are neither. You are an American! God, Country, Family, that's us. We believe America is the last, best hope of millions. We believe our Country (though imperfect), our Constitution, are still better than anything else ever tried by mankind. We believe in giving each other a hand up. That even the poorest among us can become the greatest among us. No other country in the world can one imagine they can be anything they strive to be (the magic here is in the striving). We believe in rugged individualism, that "I can build it, I can do it, I can achieve it". We believe in teaching a man how to fish instead of handing him a fish. We do not rely on a government who will give us anything we want, because we know that that government can also take everything we have. We are the Patriots of today. Let us strive to be what we were meant to be, The shining city upon the hill, the last great hope of mankind.  I will not kid you, it is going to be very tough from here on out, but even George Washington lost more battles than he won. Take courage Patriots, you are on the right side of this fight. Please, whatever you do, don't sit in the corner licking your wounds, channel your passion for this country into action, keep up the good fight. Stand Your Ground!

Folks, Thanksgiving is coming up and I don't know if we will post anything before then, but I want all of you to know please give thanks for the Country that we grew up in. Give thanks for our families and friends, pray for our Country, and pray for our President. Pray that he will see the destruction and change his course. Pray that he will become the leader that the World needs. I ask you folks to please, please pray for Israel. Our blessed friend Israel is in extreme danger and I fear that if our President doesn't realize the errors of his way, our friend may perish. I don't think it will perish by our hand, but by a lack of our hand of protection. I hope we all know that the call for the destruction of an entire group of people is pure evil. Please, dig deep into your soul and seek the answers you are looking for.

Half of our Countrymen don't realize what our Founders gave us. We must continue to educate them as to why Socialism doesn't work and why the American experiment was the greatest gift ever given, not to just Americans, but to the entire world.

Freedom of What Religion?

(Disclaimer: This newsletter is probably going to be very controversial in some circles. My intent is not to incite violence or to target any individuals, I am trying to enlighten and inform. I might add that I feel truly blessed to be able to convey this message to you because I live in the U.S.A. and not in Russia where those who disagree are once again being thrown into prisons for speaking out).

Hey Folks,

I am sure those of you who follow faith based issues have seen how over the last few decades the Christian religion, the religion of a majority of our forefathers, has been constantly under attack by those who wish to control the conversation (among other things). Many of those attacking this religion use what they call the “Separation of Church and State” clause; however one would be hard pressed to find this clause in the Constitution or the Declaration of independence. If you confront these attackers about this they refer to the “establishment” clause. Now, if you read the First Amendment it does talk about making no law respecting an establishment of religion, which is where most of those attacking Christianity stop. What these people refuse to notice is that “Congress” shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the “Exercise” therof. It is Congress that has the limitations on it, not the religion. In the upside down world of “Political Correctness”, the prohibiting of the free exercise is rampant. Under President Obama and Obama Care, many religious organizations are required to go against their beliefs (their free exercise thereof) by providing for abortions and contraception. For years, these intolerant attackers have tore down crosses, stopped free speech if it was of a religious nature, forced religious institutions to hire those who do not hold their beliefs, filed lawsuit after lawsuit to “Prohibit The Free Exercise” of pretty much only two religions, Christianity and Judaism. It amazes me that two religions that pray for the whole of mankind, that believes we are all God’s children and worthy of redemption, who pray for the non-believers,  are told they are intolerant, while those attacking these religions are propping up and encouraging a religion that states in its holiest book that non-believers must be beheaded (Qur’an Sura (8:12) - I will cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve. Therefore strike off their heads and strike off every fingertip of them.).

After Barack Obama was elected, and prior to, many were questioning what his religion was. Many stated, as he did, that he was a Christian. Many took him at his word and we found that he was a member of Reverend Jeremiah Wright’s Trinity United Church of Christ. Not too many people questioned anything after that, but a few people noticed that his church taught Black Liberation Theology. Now I am all about keeping blacks liberated, however this theology is not based in the Bible but more socialist doctrines (Trinity United Church of Christ adopted the Black Value System written by the Manford Byrd Recognition Committee chaired by Vallmer Jordan in 1981). I won’t get too deep into this subject here because I would like to talk more about what a minority of people saw...Obama’s Muslim roots.

I do not think that Barack Obama is a Muslim; however I do think he does have a connection to Islam from his time in Indonesia. I do believe he admires the religion of his step father even if he does not follow it. For many who believe that he is a Muslim, the President has not done a lot to show that he is not. In his 3 years he went to Egypt and apologized for the U.S., He bowed to the Saudis (and many others), he celebrated Ramadan at the Capitol, he supported the overthrow of the Egyptian government by the Muslim Brotherhood (a terrorist group), he supported the overthrow of Libya by Al-Qaeda sympathizers, he has called for Israel to return to the indefensible borders of 1967, his administration leaked the plans of our allies (Israel) to the Iranians, he invited the head of the Muslim Brotherhood into the White House, and this is just a few of such things the President has done that seems to favor Islam. It is very easy to see why those who claim he is Muslim to believe that way. And to make things worse…The DNC will open with a Jummah! Oh, I’m sorry, what’s a Jummah? A Jummah is the Friday congregational prayers that all Muslims do…You know, when you hear the Muezzin (the guy singing from the tower) melodically singing “Allahu Akbar” it is time for the DNC…oops, time for Friday prayers to begin. I wonder why the “separation of Church and State” doesn’t apply here.  Perhaps this is why Obama claimed “we are not a Christian Nation”. The Blaze Article on the DNC Jummah

Now, I have written before about Dar-al-Islam and Dar-al-harb before, but as a refresher; Dar-al-Islam is the house of Islam, Dar-al-harb is the house of war; these are the two houses that exist in Islam. Basically if you are not Muslim, you are of the house of war and therefore must be killed (refer to the previous Qur’anic Sura). The Islamic world is in a constant state of war because they are commanded to conquer the world for Allah. Now, this is not to say that All Muslims believe this way, however it is the belief of those that have declared us their enemy, which is millions.

So who is our enemy, Millions of radical Muslims ( if radical means following the teachings of one’s holy book). So if one were to apologize to this enemy, invite this enemy into our sacred halls, give vital information of those allied with us to this enemy,  give up our traditions for theirs, and pray as they do, I ask, is that giving aid and comfort to the enemy? Is this the “Fundamental Transformation” Obama was talking about?

No Person shall be convicted of Treason unless on the Testimony of two Witnesses to the same overt Act, or on Confession in open Court. The Congress shall have Power to declare the Punishment of Treason, but no Attainder of Treason shall work Corruption of Blood, or Forfeiture except during the Life of the Person attainted.” - U.S. Constitution Article Three

Can a President be accused of Treason? Is the United States the “President” or We The People? The issue here is to figure out if the actions of this administration are intentional or are these people really that naïve. I believe the latter is possible only due to the fact that these people believe they are so superior intellectually to those of us who see these things, that they dismiss anything we may say, even if it is the truth. Their arrogance is unsurpassed and unfortunately could be the downfall of us all.

Hello all,

I don’t know about you but I’m enjoying watching the Olympics on T.V. and eating some Chick-Fil-A. That’s right I said it, Chick-Fil-A! I know you have heard the ruckus over this but really, this is ridiculous. The owner of Chick-Fil-A, in an interview, talks about his belief of marriage is between a man and a woman. Damn, you would have thought he said all gay people must die and they are not welcome in his restaurants. Now, it should be no surprise people, that the owner of Chick-Fil-A holds these beliefs; his stores are closed on Sundays so his employees can attend church if they choose to do so. The owner, Dan T Cathy, never said gay people are not welcome in his restaurants but apparently the LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bi sexual, and Transgender) Organization interpreted his statement that way. They called for a boycott of Chick-Fil-A, hell even Chicago mayor Rahm Emanuel (sound familiar?) vowed to block Chick-Fil-A restaurants from opening in the city. Emanuel has since backed off of his statement and Chick-Fil-A has earned a lot of support. Believe it or not, support has come from the Gay community. Not that they agree with Cathy’s beliefs but they do understand his right to say what he wants without fear of the government threatening this business. You know what’s pretty sad, when some of us in this country hold fast food restaurants to a higher standard than we do our President. President Obama held these same beliefs about same sex marriage, until recently. I wonder if the LGBT held a boycott of the 2008 Presidential Election.

Speaking of elections, it’s time for some more election year hijinks. I recently read about a group who sent out pre-filled out voter registration cards to some people who were deceased, some were actually mailed to peoples pets! This excerpt is from the Seattle times. “The voter registration form arrived in the mail last month with some key information already filled in: Rosie Charlston’s name was complete, as was her Seattle address. Problem is, Rosie was a black lab who died in 1998.  A group called the Voter Participation Center has touted the distribution of some 5 million registration forms in recent weeks, targeting Democratic-leaning voting blocs such as unmarried women, Blacks, Latinos, and young adults. But residents and election administrators around the country also have reported a series of bizarre and questionable mailings addressed to animals, dead people, noncitizens, and people who are already registered voters. Brenda Charlston wasn’t the only person to get documents for her pet: a Virginia man said similar documents arrived for his dead dog, Mozart, while a woman in the state got forms for her cat, Scampers. The Voter Participation Center- acknowledges that the databases it uses to contact possible voters are imperfect because they are developed from commercially collected information. The group also says it expects people who receive misdirected mail to simply throw it away. The mailing appears official, arriving in privacy envelopes with the heading “VOTERS REGISTRATION DOCUMENTS ENCLOSED.” Some information is already complete on the voter registration papers, and recipients also get an envelope to send completed forms to local elections officials”. Sounds like vote tampering to me.

Listen, in this election season you will hear all kinds of crap being said about the candidates, I call this, distractions. It has already started against Mitt Romney. Everything from “he’s a felon”, “he caused the death of a women who had no health care” to Harry Reid’s “someone told me he paid no taxes for years.” I’m sure there will be some things said about President Obama that will either not be exactly true or distortion. The point I want to make is that we are responsible for educating ourselves. Not the nightly news or the headlines in the local newspaper or the internet. We must be able to see through the distractions and stay focused on fact and record. Informed people make informed decisions. Let’s start talking to folks we know and get them informed. I don’t want another 4 years of President Obama and his failed politics and broken promises. Mitt Romney isn’t the knight in shining armor either. Look into the records of the candidates and trust what you find, not rely on CNN or FOX to decide for you.
