Phenominal Orgins

Hey Folks,

I would like to take a moment to share with you something I think a lot of people do not realize. Many people claim responsibility for the “Tea Party” movement, most notably Rick Santelli of CNBC, but its beginnings are much more phenomenal than some rant by a T.V. personality. What many people don’t realize is that the “Tea Party” movement was a process that began in the hearts of everyday Americans back in the Bush years. Many Americans were leery of the “Patriot Act”, the massive amounts of money leaving our country to those who really don’t like us, and of course T.A.R.P. George W. Bush’s fiscal policies and the “Patriot Acts” attack on freedom were the kindling for the movement. The continuing fiscal irresponsibility of the Obama administration turned it into the conflagration known today as the “Tea Party”. This in and of itself is not the remarkable part; the remarkable part is that thousands of people had the same idea of a “Tea Party” long before anyone said anything. Those of us who created local “Tea Parties” did not know one another, never discussed it with each other, we came from all different types of backgrounds, and felt moved to do something about it.

“Tea Party” was never part of my lexicon and I didn’t start using it in conversation until Aug. and Sept. of 2008 when the whole T.A.R.P. deal was being discussed. I began using “Tea Party” in my everyday conversation with family and co-workers, I don’t recall why I used “Tea Party” from that day forward, but it seemed to fit into the conversation. I felt like I was the only one using the phrase; “We need another Tea Party!” I had lots of friends that agreed with me but they didn’t use the same terms. On February 14, 2009 I was on Facebook and decided to start a page where my friends and I could vent about the government B.S. going on, I called it “The Next Tea Party”. A day or so later I renamed it “The Next American Tea Party”. A few days after I tried creating the Next American Tea Party, a friend told me about some guy on CNBC who was talking about needing a new Tea Party. I went and Googled this guy Rick Santelli. I watched his rant and thought “he gets it”. I saw a handful of websites popping up called “The New American Tea Party” and many claiming to be Mr. Santelli’s. It was from there I started “The New American Tea Party So Cal”. The interesting part is that many of the Tea Parties across America have very similar stories.

Now as far as the Presidential Primaries are concerned, with so many different “Tea Parties” across America, no one person can claim to talk for the rest. Recently, the group “Tea Party Patriots” endorsed Newt Gingrich as their candidate and the Main Stream Media has agreed that Mr. Gingrich IS the “Tea Party” Candidate, this is not so. Mr. Gingrich has an endorsement from a Tea Party group, not the entire Tea Party Movement. There are a few other “groups” that endorse Mr. Gingrich also, but not the Tea Party as a whole. As most of you know, The People of Liberty, and The New American Tea Party So Cal, do not endorse politicians. As a matter of fact, we are very disappointed with the field of candidates that have been put through (although, any one of them would be better than Obama). I know there are those of you who like one candidate or another and I will probably get more hate mail from some of you however, I truly hope you vote for your principles during the primaries and hope that you can vote for your principles in the Presidential Election.

My hope is that in the upcoming election we can get enough true conservatives elected throughout this Great Nation as to slow the destruction that is being perpetrated against us and against our will. No one man or woman can stop what has begun, but if we can get many men and women of principle and conviction in our halls of government we may just save this Nation. Don’t be fooled by the promises of the Presidential candidates to be able to save us, they can’t!

Each candidate has issues. One seems to bend whichever way the wind seems to be blowing at the time. Another, talks like a conservative, is a renowned historian, but states he is a “Realpolitik Wilsonian” (really?). Yet another has very conservative views but has zero charisma and seems to have to fight harder than the rest just to be heard. The last one is a great constitutionalist but falls short on foreign policy and was also the publisher of a very vile publication for over a decade without knowing what he was publishing (really?). These guys will not save us, but they are all better than the alternative.

Folks, I am the “Tea Party”, you are the “Tea Party”, We are the People of Liberty! Our job is to make sure that we get the truth out to everyone. We must make sure that everyone we know votes, and not just vote for this guy or that, but to vote for the candidate that most closely aligns with their principles. Conservatives outnumber the Liberals in this country but if we don’t get out and show our numbers it may be the last time we have this chance.

This will not be easy; we have never claimed it would be. I recently heard something that made so much sense, it went something like this; “Things that we do not have to fight hard for we do not cherish”.

How hard have you fought for your freedom?
