The Job of Screwing Over the American People

“We will finish the job”. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D – Nev.

I’m going to keep this short and to the point. Harry Reid said they will finish the job, the job of screwing over the American people. Every day, more and more people don’t like what they hear or smell from this healthcare fiasco. I hear the Democratic leaders as well as President Obama, are pushing for a vote by early next week. Why so soon, you ask? After next week, Congress goes on a recess and members return to their home states. The Obama Administration knows that if members return home to face their constituency, it is doubtful that when they return to Washington, they will vote in favor of any healthcare bill. So, the motive for passing a bill before they return home, albeit political suicide is paramount for the Administration. Oh and par for the course, no one seems to know what’s in this latest bill. Apparently, President Obama is keeping details of his bill close to his chest. I wonder then, when I hear House and Senate Democrats touting this healthcare reform bill and why it must be passed now, if they even know what’s in this bill. Damn, can you imagine the press conference, Reporter: “Senator, what’s in this latest healthcare bill”? Senator: “I don’t have a clue… but we must pass this bill for the millions of Americans without healthcare coverage”. This is who is supposed to be representing us? This is the crap we pay for? I’ve said it once, I’ll say it again. People, pick up the phone and call your Senators and Congressperson. Let them know we don’t want this healthcare bill passed. Let’s not allow Harry Reid & company to finish the job.

Immigration Reform

Mike and I are starting to hear of Immigration Reform starting to pick up some steam. Apparently, President Obama has chosen Senators Chuck Schumer(D-NY) and Lindsey Graham(R-S.C.) to begin pushing to give amnesty to over ten million illegal immigrants in America, “thus turning them into competitive workers and voters”, according to press releases. Surprised? I hope not because we knew it was always just under the radar and yes, the President wants an Immigration Bill passed before November. Hmm… I wonder if this is a coincidence?
